Our Founder

Jonathan Sherman brings nearly a decade of experience in the music industry as a jazz pianist, record producer, and industry executive. His works have been signed to numerous independent labels in the US and Europe, and he has toured across the US playing at iconic music venues with Grammy-nominated artists from Arlene’s Grocery in NYC to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In 2019, Jonathan Sherman started, the Music Industry Consulting Practice at Deloitte, where he worked with some the world’s leading music publishers, concert promoters, and streaming platforms, and has since partnered with a performance rights organization to provide music data services to key industry leaders.

  • Rick Bacchus - Strategic Advisor

    Legendary Music Executive and Record Producer Rick Bacchus served as Chairman and President of Operations for the label. Rick Bacchus is well known among his peers in the music industry for being personally involved in the success of numerous music shows and established recording artists globally. Rick is also an established songwriter, composer and producer who is a self-taught musician who is very proficient at playing numerous music instruments.

Meet The Team

  • Digital Marketing Intern

    Bella Williams heads the marketing sector of Return Records, creating and designing the brand and marketing strategy for the label. They are currently a rising Senior at Barnard College studying Sociology and Theatre. Additionally, Bella is a songwriter and producer.

  • Live Entertainment Intern

    Kira Sward is a rising senior at New York University studying Linguistics and Music. She is thrilled to be Return Record’s Live Entertainment intern. As a lifelong soprano, alto, and tenor saxophonist, Kira loves all things music.

  • Talent Management Intern

    Camila Sorrentino oversees the talent management sector of Return Records, editing contracts, evaluating demo submissions, conducting research, and contacting artists and venues. Camila recently graduated from the Music Business Program at New York University. In her free time, she likes to sing, play piano, and go on runs.

Internship Program

We’re offering exciting hybrid, part-time internships for Fall 2025. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team. As an intern at Return Records, you will handle A&R and Marketing responsibilities. You will secure venues, handle scheduling, and coordinate logistics for our artists, conduct market research, manage social media profiles, and create promotional materials. Both roles require a commitment of 10-20 hours per week.

Interns will gain valuable industry experience and receive complementary tickets to concerts and industry events in the tri-state area. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills, a deep passion and knowledge for music and the industry, and familiarity with office productivity software and social media platforms.
